Correct wearing of a Protective Mask (FFP2 NR) can play an effective protective role. After wearing, carefully check the edges for air leakage. Do not enter the workplace until no air escapes. Note that if it is damaged or you feel resistance to breathing, replace it immediately.
1. Single-use type
(1) Wear a mask with the nose on top and close to the face;
(2) Pull up the upper headband and place it behind the head, then pull the lower headband over the back of the neck and place it on the nape of the neck;
(3) Put your fingertips on the top of the metal nose part and press inward until the part is pressed into the shape of the bridge of the nose;
(4) Cover the mask with both hands and exhale vigorously. If you feel that air is flowing out from the edge of the mask, it means that it is improperly worn, and it is necessary to re-adjust and repeat the wearing procedure;
(5) After work, put the mask in a suitable place. If the mask is damaged, or if you have difficulty breathing after wearing it, you should replace it with a new one.
2. Canister type half-surface type
(1) Put on a mask, adjust the nose part to the proper position on the upper headband and then fasten it;
(2) Tighten the tail of the headband to adjust the tightness (note: do not pull too tight);
(3) Positive pressure test - cover the exhaust valve cover with the palm of your hand and exhale slowly. If it is found that air overflows from the edge of the mask, it means that it is improperly worn;
(4) Negative pressure test - cover the plastic cover with the palm of your hand, inhale slowly, and hold your breath for 5 to 10 seconds. If it is correct, the mask will feel slightly concave, otherwise, it will not be able to achieve this effect and there will be problems with wearing it.
(5) Such masks should be regularly inspected and repaired by experienced and knowledgeable personnel.
